MSIE handles bookmarks badly, compared to NetscapeCommunicator's easily
copied/edited html-friendly file format at any rate... so the best
all-around solution, assuming you want to handle bookmarks from any & all
sources, is to use one of the bookmark utilities, like Columbine, to merge,
manage & manipulate bookmark entries.
There are lots of these, freeware, shareware & commercial, and many can be
found at ZDnet. Go to ZDnet Downloads & search for bookmark tools, or try
this:

http://hotfiles.zdnet.com/cgi-bin/texis/swlib/hotfiles/search.html?Utext=boo
kmark&Usrt=rel&Usrchtype=simple

[this URL breaks in many email clients; paste the whole thing as one line to
use]

Columbine is a fave -- it lets you do a lot to & with bookmarks from all
major browsers [MSIE, NComm, Opera, Mosaic, etc.]. Other tools offer similar
functions. Sniff around.

YITB,
Al
