User Friendly Manuals' Website" (see URL below). The topic is
"Current trends in technical communication", with the following
subheadings:
- Preferred software for technical writers
- HTML help has gained ground
- Machine (aided) translation
- Monitors and screen resolution
- Possibilities with colour laser printers and photocopiers
- Print on demand = "In-line" manual production
- Increased interest in interactive multimedia manuals
- Electronic cameras are gaining use
- Electronic file transfer to the printshop
- Usability testing is developing rapidly
