To All,

One of the 'rules' in flowcharting is "upper left, to lower right'.  Go down
the left of the page, when you get to the bottom,  Go to the Top of the
Page, and then down again.


Therefore, example 1 is more nearly 'correct' (IMHO).

A    D

B    E

C    F

It has a relationship to ergonomics, and the way our eyes move.

An example is in how a stenographer's 'shorthand' notebook is laid out.

A small 4 -inch 'window' that your eyes use to view things without moving
the head.
