This isn't strictly a marketing writing book; it goes well beyond that. But
once you've read it you'll come away imbued with the principles: who are
the people you're speaking to, what is the message you want to convey, how
do you say it effectively. It cuts through gimmics trends and fads and
concentrates on what really works.
It's by David Ogilvie, called simply, (and modestly...*S*...) "Ogilvie on
Advertising." Maybe it's out of print by now. If it is it shouldn't be.
I'm a marketing writer myself and this is the book that introduced me to it
and still remains a bible.
