Mark Dempsey has <<...several docs in an old-style template that I'd like to
update in a new-style template. (Word 97). I'm used to Frame's style import
utility that updates all styles (tags) at one fell swoop.>>

Word has the same feature: under the Format menu, select "Style Gallery". In
the style gallery dialog box, select the document style you want to apply.
Voila! The change is permanent unless you undo it immediately or reapply
another template using the same dialog box.
