Well, THAT's clear as mud...let me try again:

  If the .doc file contains lots of links, then PDFMaker 

  takes a lot longer to create the PDF when you select the 
  option to convert those links so that they'll work in 
  the PDF, too.

There!  That's better.

(Ah'm a perfeshunnal communycater, you know--words is mah stock in trade.)
