Managing is not writing. I think that in a small company, many marketing
people manage products and projects. They do not do the grunt work of
writing or digging up the material. This could easily be a communication
issue of what managing means to the CEO. It may be appropriate ( and
advantageous in the future) to mentor (re: train) the marketing guy as to
how to manage a project.
