I found an open source version of HyperCard was looking for tech
writers (Help, Docs, etc.). Check here:

Also, you might take a look here:

This is an attempt to recreate the Look-'n'-Feel of NeXT Step. Not
sure if they need help, (that is, I didn't see any "We Need
Documentation-folk!" notices), but these are a couple places to start
with.

Finally, picking up one of the magazines devoted to Linux ought to
have a tasty ad or two worth looking into.
