FWIW, I'm repulsed by the notion of "burning" CDs. CDs are written and read
just like a hard disk or a floppy disk or a tape. No one says they
magnetized/demagnetized their hard disk, nor do they say they burned it.
"Burn" is the sort of slang that doesn't belong in technical writing. Your
manual says "click the button" instead of "punch the button," right?
"Select one" rather than "grab one." "Tighten to the specified torque"
rather than "pull on that sucker 'til it squeals."
