I am documenting for a special project for a police
dept.
Those 'tenprint' cards that police depts use - the
ones with the ten boxes where you ink the fingers (any
of you who are former teachers will know what I am
talking aobut first-hand - and of course, any ex-con's
on the list will also know about these!)
At any rate, I looked in an unabridged dictionary and
found no word for 'tenprint.' I am unsure as to how to
document it in a manual. Their convention is to write
it 'ten-print,' but, based on some other spelling
conventions I have seen in their forms, etc., I think
it is better to not pay total attention to their way
of doing things.
At any rate, does anyone know how I might spell this
word? Anyone have an unabridged dictionary which might
include this word (mine is a little dated)
Thanks
Mario
