This (and the rest of this thread) is hardly a portent of doom when this
generation grows up. I knew a (then) girl who spoke the exact same way,
"he goes, she goes," back in the late 70s, and who endured much
harassment for it from her elders. She grew up to use language just fine,
and is now a professional writer of excellent quality.
Teens speak their own way, then they get over it. Education always
wins... and people who don't care enough to learn the current rules of
writing tend not to become professional writers. With exceptions, of
course.
