Subject:RE: Are Zip drives obsolete? From:Emru Townsend <etownsen -at- Softimage -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Tue, 14 Nov 2000 08:41:02 -0500
After David Berg dropped me a line, I hit the Web to see if my memory was
faulty. It was. The problem first came to light in mid-1998, and it
affected Zip drives made after January 1995. It affected predominantly
external drives, but that may be because there were so many more external
drives around at the time.
I think the problem's since been rectified, but I don't have time to do the
research.
