Obviously, graphics and prettification would need a /lot/ more bandwidth.

Imagine getting "up there" and suddenly realizing the CD drive ate your
CD, or it got scratched, or....
There's always something to be said for having a "Plan B" --- especially
when it comes to relying on documentation.
