I agree with him. I'm an English teacher considering tech writing as a
future career change. I was VERY disappointed at some of the rude remarks
and putdowns made by a few members of the group. There is NO excuse for
being rude or behaving as if someone is beneath you. I don't tolerate that
kind of behavior in my classroom of eighth graders, and I certainly don't
expect it from intelligent adults.
Now having said that, I also know that many members go out of their way to
help each other. Some have helped me immensely.
