The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
It's not just that they are being rude. It also cuts their credibility
instantly. This is unfortunate because the rude ones *occasionally* do say
something worthwhile. But it's only occasionally. Apparently they can't tell
how
stupid they sound and quickly people dismiss their opinions now simply
because
of their juvenile behavior. They make their posts nothing but a waste of
other
peoples' time. We all have too much to do in our current jobs to deal with
this.
It's insulting.
As a recruiter, I **always** check postings and archives when hiring.
On the assumption that the rude ones would give my clients a hard time,
I don't consider them. Maybe if this rejection is repeated by other
employers, it just makes them more bitter and rude....
Dave.
