TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
But Herman, you're missing my point. I don't object to new enquiries being
pointed elsewhere. Just in the manner by which they are pointed. Replying
with "Tut, not another one" or "Here we go again", although an easy point to
score, is disheartening. Should we be rejecting people out of hand who can
undoubtedly learn more from us? So much for team building.

Because it often reveals information you don't already know? I like that
feeling of reading something and saying "Hmmm, better bookmark that info for
later." I've learnt a lot about TW that may have taken me years to learn
otherwise. Good to find those blind alleys before you traipse down them.
You don't have to remain silent, or blindly agree with everything (you
probably don't agree with me now - you're prerogative). I'm saying be polite
and helpful. More gets done that way.
