TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.

Actually, I think we're talking about two different
resources. The TECHWR-L Resources Directory at http://www.raycomm.com/techwhirl/directory/ includes
more than 550 links to various technical writing related
resources--about 150 of those are links to books that
have been recommended at one time or another on the
TECHWR-L list. This resource is maintained and updated
by RayComm through Amanda Kearney, the Resources
Directory Manager (directorymanager -at- raycomm -dot- com).
The resource John Renish refers to is also available
on the TECHWR-L site at http://www.raycomm.com/techwhirl/renishbooks.html.
Although we make this books list available on the
TECHWR-L site, the list itself is maintained by John,
not RayComm.
Hope this clarifies,
Deborah
