Re: Improving the Quality of the List
I've tried the essay approach 5 or 6 times since I
joined the list several months ago (most recently
my post about FrameMaker text insets). Interestingly
enough, they have, in most cases, produced
very few responses.
When I saw it, I immediately printed out that essay for my archives. I find posts like that very helpful (although I don't always tell the author that I did, which I guess I should do more often).
However, I also don't find the meandering threads much of a problem ... if I don't think the subject interests me I don't read the emails. (Why is that so difficult for so many people? Do people not know how to set up filters and mailboxes in their email client? I don't get it.)
Philip.
