The quality of the list is in direct proportion to its diversity. There
should be something meaningful for each subscriber - else why subscribe?
Some listers like chatty discussions about just about everything. Others are
looking for specific information. TECHWR-L provides for both.

For those people who are impatient with meandering threads, here are a
couple of tips:
1. Scroll down the list at the beginning of the post and Find anything that
looks interesting.
2. When a thread shows 15 responses in the same digest, it is wandering far
afield or repeating the same thought ad nauseum - If you are not interested,
skip all of it. If you are interested, skip everything after the first three
responses.
3. Don't respond to meandering threads - you are just piling on.
4. Don't try to make the world in your mold. If everyone on the list really
hated the wandering threads, they wouldn't be in the digest.
