Subject:MS Word problem - moving text to a new line From:Michael Collier <mcollier -at- arlut -dot- utexas -dot- edu> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Wed, 29 Nov 2000 15:49:21 -0600
I haven't used Word much in a while, I hope someone can help with this.
I need to get part of the text that is on one line onto a line by itself
so I can apply a style to be read into the TOC of a large document.
The line currently is of the format
MESSAGE: ^t [message_name] ^t [some identifier] ^t [another identifier]
^t [message_description] and there are 500+ lines like this. I'd like to
get MESSAGE: ^t [message_name] onto a line by itself so I can tag it for
the TOC.
I don't think there is a search and replace operation that will get
MESSAGE: ^t [message_name] onto a line by itself. I may need to
investigate using a macro, which I'm not experienced with. Can anyone
suggest something?
Thanks,
