I reply:
You have everything you need in Document Properties (Select Properties on
the File menu).
In your template, set up areas for the information you want to record. Then,
in each information area, insert fields to automatically generate the
information you require.
To insert fields:
1. Select Field on the Insert menu.
2. On the Field dialog, specify Document Information in the Category area
and DocProperty in the Field Names area.
3. Click Options.
4. On the Field Options dialog, select the Property you want to use (such as
Author)
and click Add to Field.
5. Click OK.
Continue for all of the information areas you defined.
