Mostly, I agree with you. Part of being a professional is knowing
how to make do with the tools you have.
However, another part of being a professional is knowing the best
tools for the job - for you, if not necessarily for anyone else. You
may be able to carve a 6" statue with a 4' chainsaw, but how many
people would do so regularly if there was an alternative?
