I must admit, I would be very interested in knowing the results of the same
kind of survey conducted in various decades of the 20th century.

The last question would have to be omitted in pre-WWII decades and I think
the one regarding Christian holiday should be removed entirely but overall,
I'm not certain the results would be that different from what you're finding
today.  Results during the Depression era might be particularly
interesting...
