Hi all

Thanx for the input. However, there wasn't really an answer to the question,
except the same thing I've heard - that there's only so much you can do with
screenshots, especially when they have to be scaled.

Here's the scoop:
- Have two versions, one full-size for screen and one scaled for screen/pdf
(the problem here is full-size is too big for screen and pdfs - they're 11
inches, the big ones!!)

- Use sections of the screen, or full-size once then sections
(doesn't work 'cos each screen's only described once, doesn't make sense to
break it down at this point)

- Make a higher resolution, so the image is smaller
(I don't seem to get any better results with this either - the image isn't
smaller, and even when I scale it much less (85%) than the bmp (60%) it looks
about the same. this is at 300 dpi, even)

so much for wmf, far as I can tell!
