We've recently switched our manuals to
being online-only. One of the vestigages
of the books is roman numerals for the
title and TOC. This is problematic for
the PDFs, though, because the viewer
numbers consecutively from the title
page on.

So, we're thinking of getting rid of
roman numerals and calling the title
page one so that the book page numbers
match the Acrobat reader's numbering.

My question is: does anyone have a
better idea? We're concerned because
this proposed style of numbering goes
against every normal print convention.

Thanks,
-Steven Brooks
