I handle B2B sales proposals for back-office software. In addition to
free-standing proposals, I do a lot of RFP responses, which means the
prospect often dictates what format my response must be in.

I submit via e-mail whenever possible, but about 40 percent of the RFPs I
handle REQUIRE a hardcopy response, often in a very strictly described
format.

About 5-10 percent require CD-ROM. An occasional prospect will ask for us
to submit via FTP. Some even dictate what software and version the
electronic response should be created in - lots of hoops to jump through!
