FAQ is an industry-wide term. It's been used for a while now.
How does FAQ differ from Q&A, not very much. But IS your FAQ in the terms
of Questions and Answers. Just becuase the supervisor feels that it's too
close to some derogatory term (BTW, fag, in British English means cigarette,
so fag would only be representative of homosexual in American English, but
anyone who'd like to correct me regarding the proper use of the word fag,
please email me directly, lets not get into a flame war (sorry for the poor
pun)).

FAQ: Are Frequently Asked Questions
Q&A: Are Questions and Answers
What's the difference? Very little. Does it make a big difference which
one you use. No. But it's funny that the reasoning behind changing it from
one to the other is your supervisor's reticence at using the word.
IMHO.

As an aside to the FAQ question, our writing group supervisor is
trying to get rid of the term FAQ and replace it with Q&A. She feels
that FAQ is too close to fag and will prove derogatory to people.
Nobody has yet pointed out to her that Q&A seems very close to
T&A and could prove derogatory to another group.
