Hallo:

For just a simple screen shot, with no text, masks, or special effects
added, a proprietary format is not needed. Although, if you pick one,
PhotoShop is the standard. Instead, pick a commonly-supported format like
BMP, TIFF, PNG . . . (BMP being Windows-only but a widely supported format
anyway).
