Ken Bowes summarizes the recent posts: "Andrew feels that almost everyone
is looking for a way to do the least possible by any means possible, and
Rick thinks that someone who dedicates their life to their work is a fool."

I have to jump in and defend Rick's argument here. The sub shop guy is
working 13-15 hour days and driving around in a Mercedes. If he has no
family and he's in love with his car, maybe this is a viable lifestyle. But
if he DOES have a family, his kids will barely even see him, because he's
too busy slaving away to pay for his shiny automotive bauble. They'd be
better off if he drove a used Honda and spent his evenings with them.
