Some things come to mind:
1. They did a lousy job of interviewing. OTOH, so did you.
2. "Style" doesn't necessarily mean writing style. It may be that your way
of working doesn't jibe with their way of working. Neither is necessarily
wrong, just different from each other.
3. Be glad you only wasted a week at this company. Move on quickly.
4. After you recover from the shock (and hurt), ask yourself what you can
learn from this experience and use it to your advantage next time.
5. Welcome the club of those who occasionally step into the tar pits. Be
glad you escaped.
