Frame's death rumors

Hi all --

Over the couple of years I've subscribed to this list, the
subject of Frame's impending death has come up every couple of
months.

What prompts this? Rumors of other packages, such as Word, dying
don't bounce around on a regular basis. (I've never used Frame,
though I'd sure like to try it out.)
