I started tech writing in the early 1980's when "Life Cycle" software
development methodology ("waterfall") was popular. It's standard phases of
Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Revisions, and Implementation,
or variations of these, were closely copied by tech writers for our document
development methodologies. Waterfall methodologies still persist to some
degree; but rapid, iterative development began to be popular in the nineties
and persists today. Tech writers began also to mirror, in our practices,
some rapid, iterative practices.

I'm interested in how my fellow techwhirlers have adapted document
development and training development practices to changing software
development processes, including extreme programming.
