This is only my second posting to the list; I must admit I am more of a
lurker.
I am compelled, however, to venture out of lurkdom and request your kind
and able assistance with a Ventura 8 problem. At the last minute (of course
that's a given), I need to add a new section to a chapter in a manual. I
inserted some pages for the new information in front of subhead 2.1 and
tried updating the AutoNumbering. When I did, the subhead for my new
information said it was section 2.3 (as though I added the information
after the last subhead, which is 2.2). I tried removing the formatting
tags for the subheads and the information for AutoNumbering and then
reapplying the necessary specifications. --No luck. Short of rebuilding
the chapter (and it isn't the only one needing changed), does anyone know a
work-around that I could use? The chapters include lots of steps with lots
of screen shots (groan).
Many thanks ahead of time for your responses.
Janet
