One thing I haven't hear mentioned was something like MS Project.

It may be a little out-of-the-box, but it is a requirement for many jobs it
seems, and is the one item that I feel I could have used more grounding in.
Obviously it would be pointless unless used in some sort of curriculum, but
creating docs as part of team, using MS Project would be invaluable
experience (I can't believe I'm promoting group projects, my college and
grad self would beat me silly over it ;-))
