I have just spent the most frustrating hour with the Frame 5.5 online help
trying to figure out conditional text. They do have a good introductory
topic explaining some of the planning you need to do to implement it. But
the topic on actually *applying* conditional tags doesn't even come close to
explaining how the different choices will actually affect the content of
your document.
There's lots of "this is what you do" but precious little "this is why you
do it" information. No examples.
I will figure this out tomorrow when I go to work and get my after-market
books (I'm working at home today). Meanwhile, I hope everyone who is in the
process of writing online help will take the time to understand enough about
your software that you can explain to your users more than just "click here
and move this there"!!!
