I didn't mean free as in nobody paid for it. Most of the time its put there
on our machines by OEMs. The bundling of the cost means that nobody in the
company paid for it or thought about it. The OEM paid the licensing fee. The
cost is transparent to the software companies we work for. FrameMaker is
never bundled, so the cost isn't transparent. Somebody has to decide to
spend money on FrameMakere where almost no one decides to spend money on MS
Office/Word. And, with a lot of the bosses making this decision, it comes
down to "Let Them Eat Word."
