re: BO is an important acronym these days, and to technical folks it means
"Business Object". Maybe it's generational, but whenever I
use/hear/write/read the acronym BO, I immediately flash back to summer camp,
where BO (Body Odor) was NC (Not Cool).

I think if you're even older, "BO" helps recall the Dick Tracy comic strip
character B. O. Plenty. This likely predates any usage of "cool" and is
probably (c). Clearly it's OT (not to be confused with BMW's usage of OT on
my motorcycle, where it means TDC).
