Or, you could use FrameMaker. The FM Conditional markers
are designed with exactly that kind of thing in mind. You
can make text, tables, graphics, etc. conditional and
have your various document versions automagically contain
the elements you prefer, while excluding the elements that
don't apply in a given situation.
