If I was in your situation, I would look at it from more of a social
standpoint than a financial one. I have been in similar situations in the
past. I was in the construction business before moving to technical fields.
I had several relatives and in-laws who "requested my expertise." I learned
quickly that family members, whether close relatives or not, seem to talk
about other relatives (imagine that). I developed the rule of thumb, after
initial honey-do jobs, that I would devote my spare time, when available if
the job did not turn into a full time project, and they would supply the
materials for the job. When the job required a full time person or crew, I
would charge for the job. However, my part would be at a cut-rate, not a
cut-my-own-throat-rate. And so, life moved on harmoniously within my own
family tree :~)

What I realized, in addition, was that some of the jobs turned into full
time projects. I also picked up a few other projects that payed well from
my relatives neighbors and through word-of-mouth. I see a similar
opportunity in your situation - maybe a user's manual, advertisement, etc.

Anyway, had a few minutes this morning to holler, so I thought I holler at
you. Holler is a local term for conversation, whether verbal or written.

Gotta run, got a meet at 10:00 AM central and I'm not prepared yet, cya.

Gerald
