Most trademarks are used as adjectives and not nouns. For example:
Kleenex(R) tissues or WeedEater(R) cordless trimmer. This rule would
eliminate the possibility of making plurals of possessives out of them.
I don't know if they still do, but Writer's Digest used to have a lot of ads
from companies that wanted to stress their trademarks as such.
Could someone out there distill the guidelines
for using the (TM) and (R) symbols in print
and online documents? I can remember a few of
the guidelines, but not all of them, i.e.
