EPS is an encapsulated PostScript file, a page description of something,
usually vector illustration but sometimes a bitmap. So, what do you need to
do with it?

You can use Adobe Acrobat to make a PDF of it. You can print the PDF to any
printer.

You can import it into a page layout, DTP, or word processing program . . .
though be aware you *need* a PostScript printer to print it. Plus, it must
have a built in bitmap preview for you to see it on-screen.

If you need to edit it, I recommend you use illustration software:
CorelDRAW!, Adobe Illustrator, and Macromedia Freehand. Otherwise, a bitmap
editor might do the job, possibly.

Cheers,
