I send e-mail. Miss Manners be hanged, the software industry moves to quickly for snail correspondence. The last time I was out interviewing, a
job offer got to my home before I did. :-) (Of course, with the market slowing down, I may never be in that situation again.)

I generally mention that I enjoyed talking with whomever I spoke to, hit a couple of highlights of the things we talked about, and stress my
availability for further discussion or to answer any remaining questions. Pretty generic, I suppose.
