Okay, I've been lurking here for some time now. The main reason I
haven't posted anything is because I haven't had much to offer. I like
reading the posts and following some of the threads, but the discussions
center around software based work and that's not what we do. We are a hard
copy manual kind of company. We sell a durable goods product, and our users
are usually on a shop floor somewhere. The only computer most of them have
access to is the CNC running their machine. I see Andrew's point, but the
flip side is that what is offered at the STC conference is what I need.
There would be no benefit for me to go to the technical workshops, at least
not at this point in time. Does anyone here know of a forum that is more in
line with the kind of writing I'm doing? I would benefit the most from
discussions centering around tools such as Illustrator, Quark, PhotoShop.
