On a cost performance basis I can't think of anything that beats Paint Shop
Pro (I've used it for 10 years and its usability keep it ahead of the pack),
but for manipulating images (especially jpeg and web delivered pics) either
singly or in batch mode Macromedia Fireworks 4 is superb, but it costs 3 x
more than PSP so I suppose it should be!

Hello all,

My boss is willing to buy me what I need to do my job more effectively, and
what I greatly need an imaging tool.

I need advice on what type of tool would be good for modifying screen shots.
I need something better than Paint, but I don't need Photoshop. I need
something that will help me add call outs, comments and other image fixes,
and still be compatible with Word.

The less money this tool costs the better.

Any suggestions?
