TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Similarly, in the USA, there are a tonne of tech writing jobs, posted to the
STC, monster.com, etc.
However, usually, more than one agencey hits you up with the job
listing--because they scan the internet, too--and thus you often get
notified several times of the same job. How do you 1) find the recruiter
with whom the hiring company is working (assuming you don't know who that
hiring company is) and 2) avoid submitting your resume to more than one
recruiter for the same position?
Is there advantage to submitting to more than one recruiter for the same
position?
. . ..
Cheers,
Sean
