and checkout the FAQ in the FrameMaker forum. You might consider posting
your question there, too.

In short, the FrameMaker 6 filter is slow. Maybe you are not waiting long
enough. Also consider that FrameMaker and Word do different things in
different ways for different audiences, so converting between them can be
difficult. So, if you do this a lot, you might consider a third-party
filter.
