Hi all. I'll start with the standard disclaimer: my search of the archive
turned up only a few posts from three years ago that didn't really address
my issue.

I've been given an interesting task: assist my boss in completing a patent
application for a business process. Specifically, she has asked me to help
with the process description, as I'm pretty familiar with this process. We
do have a patent lawyer (who will be paid big bucks, no doubt) to worry
about the legal issues and the actual patentability of this process.

I'm hoping to find out about the actual writing process for patent
applications: suggestions for detail level, scope of info, style, etc. Has
anyone else ever completed a U.S. patent application (especially for a
business process)? Are there any special tips or hints anyone can share?
Any books/articles/websites I should consult? (There was a similar post
about resources in the archive, but no responses.) One of the old posts
suggested reading applications for similar patents, which I will try to
do.

I'll be working with my boss and our lawyers on this, but I'd appreciate
any suggestions you guys might have to help get me started in the right
direction.

Thanks!
