But it all depends upon how the text was input in the first place. If they
pages were scanned from hardcopies and converted to PDF's (as is likely if
the softcopies have been lost) you may find that all you have are pages and
pages of graphics instead of text. The capture tool may or may not be able
to convert some or all of those to text.
