Better yet: do a phone interview and ask him to tell you how he discovered
the inappropriate solutions, how he addressed it, etc. It'd be interesting
to hear what he says when he doesn't realize who's on the other end of the
phone. *Then* have him come in for a face-to-face interview...

Now *that* would be fun. I just hope the other shoe doesn't hurt the poor
soul when you drop it.
