Having just read Bill's response, I thought I'd suggest a different
approach. Why don't you talk to your state employment office and your
lawyer about the legality of what the company is attempting to do? I'm not
an expert in employment laws, but it seems like your employer wants to avoid
paying the unemployment owed if they terminated your employment.
Please ask the people who know the laws and rules what you should do.
